Advanced Hydraulic System Control Architectures

Modern composite compression molding demands precise control over the hydraulic press's dynamic behavior throughout the entire cycle. Our CE-certified presses feature high-resolution servo-proportional valves coupled with real-time feedback loops. This configuration enables precise control over slide speeds (down to 0.05 mm/s) and dynamic press force adjustment.

To handle asymmetrical loads, which are common when molding complex geometrical shapes, we integrate active multi-point leveling systems (four-cylinder control). Through displacement sensors and fast response valves, the system measures slide tilting in real time and adjusts cylinder pressure to maintain parallelism between slide and bed within 0.02 mm/m. This level of control reduces tool wear and prevents structural defects in the molded parts.

SMC, BMC, GMT, and HP-RTM Molding Cycles

Processing different raw material compounds requires specific thermal and pressure profiles:

  • SMC/BMC Compression: Demands fast closing speeds to prevent premature curing, followed by controlled pressing speeds and a stable curing pressure hold, supported by mold heating systems.
  • HP-RTM (High-Pressure Resin Transfer Molding): Requires close integration with resin injection systems. The press maintains a sealing gap, and then closes fully for final curing after injection.
  • LFT-D Direct Compression: The press coordinates with an inline extruder. The plastic compound is transferred directly to the mold cavity, requiring fast closing cycles to shape the material before it cools.

Standard safety features include dual-channel safety monitoring, light curtains, slide locking mechanisms, and monitored valve systems to prevent unintended descent.
